Hey, its that nameless guy you follow on social media about everything Long Beach so you can feel one with the city you love most. Sites back and I'm going to try and keep it fine and clean and organized for as long as possible, I just want to express why I shut it down last time and why Long Beach is in deep sh*t.
From personal experience, I can say Long Beach will be getting a name change soon. Yeah, its not going to be Long Beach much longer the way nobody actually cares to do anything about our current political and economic situation. Sure people are upset the mayor is a cuck for the DNC and yes we hate Trumpians as well... none of that makes you angry enough to get off of your asses and vote, go to city hall meets, talk to your council members or doing community work, let alone starting a project/program. Its just a whole bunch of people on the internet mad, thinking a comment on a local politicians page is enough to sway them. Simple fact is, sometimes I get tired of trying to "uplift" or whatever and need to take a break..
No one actually wants to do the work and I know the reason. You've been brainwashed by the Zuckernet, The World Wide Bezo, You've been Musked.
When you think of the word "protest" your mind probably goes to 1000s of people holding signs on Ocean Blvd chanting slogans and what have you. That my friend is called a demonstration. Its one of many ways to protest, not the only. To protest means "to do something in opposition of".
That being said what if I told you demonstrations have been co-opt? What if I told you when you "protest" against defunding the police youre actually defending them?
We're going to skip the fact that cops get overtime and companies profit from materials needed and get right into the part where they use each demonstration as a statistic to get more funding during yearly city budget conversations:
In 2021 The LBPD had a small decrease but that was due to "covid related issues", lock downs. No one was outside so crime was down. All those protest we had that year really helped them push for more cheese.. what we should be doing is protesting in different manners particularly proactive action instead of reactionary ones.
It shouldn't take for someone to die for people to hit the streets. You shouldn't wait for your water to turn brown before we abolish these info centers. You should be doing something everyday to protest against these things, not have a communal event in celebration of your agreed opinion on a political topic (organized by zionists for that matter).
That's why I'm not doing any nonprofit work at the moment. Why I've stopped promoting the localist movement, because most of you dont belong to The Beach anymore. You belong to Zuckerberg and the internet.
As you were reading the upper paragraphs some of you were probably mad that I'm against demonstrations but still agree with me. That's the problem. You dont know what else to do and if ya did you wouldn't do it because you think its acceptable to live through others, It's not. If youre reading this, you have to get off your ass and start participating in the saving of this beautiful city.
The Left is so morality oriented that you think "Hey, this is the right choice so I expect my representatives to do the right thing", which they never do and you fall for it. Mamdani of New York is the only exception.
The Right on the other hand has no morals, coordinates the whole propaganda campaign, launches, fucks you sideways, and is on the next plot before you can blink twice.
I literally cannot get any of you to show up constantly. I've tried so many times and when we get together it's so many issues. Nobody wants to vote or take any political action..okay fine. Let's go radical,.. wait what's that.. oh I see.. you're a wimp. Hmm what did you have in mi- .. aw, Beach clean up? Aight.
Same thing with nonprofits, say we need to start more and people say, "I HATE NONPROFITS". NO YOU DONT YOU, DUMMY. You hate the people that run them. Its not the system its the people that abuse it and while you sit on your ass and pout, they are out raking it the fuck in. If you hated non-profit you'd hate me because all the cools stuff I do around here is thanks to the non-profit we founded to help the people.. see?
Look I'm going to get you guys your cultural products, I'm going to write more blogs and keep you all updated on things in the city that we should all be interested in. Don't expect much else for now. Last 7 years I've been running around like a chicken with its head cut off. I needed a break, I am on break.
Only thing I need you to do is Vote for Terri Rivers and Dameon Gordon in the 7th District.
