LBC Annual Budget Community Meetings

The City’s annual budget is an important document for prioritizing public services and determining how funds are spent on services such as public safety, housing and homelessness, and education. To ensure the city’s budget priorities are aligned with community priorities, in January 2026, we held community meetings where Long Beach residents provided input on the development of the Fiscal Year 2027 Budget.
After compiling feedback from the public as well as city council priorities, the Mayor and City Manager introduced the Fiscal Year 2027 Proposed Budget on July 30, 2026. Starting next week, the city will host a series of community budget meetings for the public to provide feedback on the proposed budget. These will include an overview of the budget and budget process and an opportunity to interact with department directors and officials. Locations, dates, and times are listed below.

- August 5th, 6:00pm Zoom Webinar
- August 6th, 6:00pm at Charles Lindbergh Middle School
- August 8th, 10:00am at Silverado Park
- August 10th, 6:00pm at Renaissance High School for the Arts
- August 13th, 6:00pm at Long Beach City College
